To Cristen and Penny,
I have this exact Doll only with pink pants. The doll is beautiful. I have just recently found her again after recently moving and unpacking. I am not sure if I want to part with her but I am thinking about it.
My daughter doesn't want her and my grandkids are to little to apprecaite this beautiful little doll.
I don't even know how to put a price on her. If you are interested please let me know or anyone else for that matter.
The ones going on ebay for hardly nothing are very dumb in my opinion. Again I am not sure I am going to part with her yet or not but if I do it will not be for a low price.
I am looking for the newborn thumbelina like the one pictured above. I had this one when I ws a little girl and loved her! My dog took the siuffing out of her when I left for college. I would like to purchase one in very good shape that works .Mine had the top on in the picture with blue knit pants.
I came across this site when researching the details of my newborn Thumbelina, which I had decided to sell in order to help fund my Sindy collection!
If your members are interested, my doll is now for sale on eBay for the next few days. It's reference number is 130394459781. The photos are a little blurry and do not really do her justice! I would love her to go to a collector who will give her a good home. Please ask any questions via eBay as I am very busy and only tend to check that site. Also, please do not ask me to trade outside of the ambit of eBay rules (I'm sure you wouldn't!).
Happy bidding and good luck!
Following the success of the early 1960's Thumbelina Doll, Ideal produced a doll from 1968 to 1972 called Newborn Thumbelina. She was just 9" tall, had a vinyl head, arms, legs, and a soft stuffed cloth body. She had a sweet little face with painted features and a pull string on her back that made her "squirm" when pulled. She was marked 1967/IDEAL; TT-9-H108/JAPAN on her head and came dressed in a topper and tights or pj's. Assessories, such as a cradle or carriage, could also be purchased. Different versions of Ideal's Thumbelina has become very popular with collectors.
