From 1956-1959, Ideal Toy Corp. produced an all vinyl Miss Revlon doll. This was the beginning of an era when vinyl would be used by many doll companies. Miss Revlon was a very pretty doll (influenced by the well-known cosmetic company). She had rooted saran hair that was beautifully styled and eyes that could open and close. She had moveable head, arms, legs and waist and high heeled feet. She came in 15", 18", 20", 23" and very rare 26" sizes. She was also produced as a walker. The dolls were marked on the head IDEAL DOLL/VT-18 (the number represented the height of the doll). It is hard to find one of these very nice dolls today in excellent condition for they were so loved and played with by their owners!

I would like to locate a Little Miss Revlon Doll made in 1959. The one I bought for myself (at age 12) had platinum hair pulled back, and it had a red taffeta dress with cap sleeves and a white organdy collar on a boat-neckline. The dress snapped in the back, and the doll wore red high heels. The doll was 10 1/2 inches tall so that it was a Little Miss Revlon Doll sold by Sears.

Unfortunately, my doll was stolen just a few months after I bought it, and I would love to have one like it for my doll collection. Do you know if any toy company does re-makes?

I am not aware of a company that is remaking the Little Miss Revlons. You might want to watch eBay auctions and perhaps you might just find like the one you had. Sorry to hear that yours was stolen. Thanks for your comment...Good luck!

I am sorry that your doll got stollen. My Ideal Doll VT - 18 was given to me in the mid 1980's from my Aunt who the doll was bought for when she was a child. It was not untill 2006 that my mother actually handed the doll to me at the age of 26. I have loved this doll ever since I was young. I am not sure which one I have. she is 18 inches tall, has strawberry blond hair that is pulled back, she has many outfits, with original stockings, and many shoes, even a rocking chair, I used to have a wooden bunk bed, that i was told belong to the doll, but over the years of use it had broke beyond repair. I have never played with my doll, and I am happy to say she is great shape, I plan on passing her on to my children some day. I would be evastated if something ever happened to her.
